A study in the ‘British Journal of Dermatology’ was conducted among 100 patients suffering from chronic urticaria who were frequent visitors in the Outpatient Department of the Bristol General Hospital. Testing Candida in these patients showed Type I/ Type III scenario in almost 36 of these patients. It was then determined that approximately 26% of these patients with chronic urticarial Candida albicans suffered from sensitivity issues to the prick test.
